The TIP ENTERTAINMENT Platform can be accessed for use via texting or an app.

To initiate a request with the TIP

ENTERTAINMENT Platform, a user can use

her or his smartphone or computer to enter

a request to connect with others about

multimedia content.  In the request, the user

can specify the multimedia content

generally (e.g., a genre of music, an actor, a sports team, or a genre of movie) or specifically (e.g., a specific song title, a particular sports game, or television show) to seek others to interact with about the specified multimedia content.

The request is then processed by

the TIP Platform to determine

candidate responders for the request.

The candidate responders are determined

based on their established association

with the specified entertainment subject

and/or geographic area and their qualifications

for responding to the request.

 

A candidate responders may be others who are currently streaming or otherwise viewing / listening to the specified content on their electronic device.  A candidate responder can choose to respond to the request, and thereafter a text messaging-based pathway of communication between the requester and the responder can be enabled for the responder to interact with the requester about the multimedia content.
